When you are assisting customers on the Self check-out
system please encourage them to check their name on the screen and their
checkout slip. Barcode scanners can misread numbers from time to time and this
can cause items to be checked out on someone else's record. Also, if you have a
customer stating that they definitely have not borrowed an item that is checked
out to them please keep this in mind as it can happen (it did to a customer
this morning that I was helping).
