Library lovers

As part of Library Lover’s Week we have (as of today) put out some books wrapped in brown paper bags so customers can have a  “Blind date with a book” . Tiffany has made a lovely display for the Adult fiction on the slatwall near the fiction trolley . And for the Youth books on the slatwall display pillar at the entrance of the library from the school side.  If this needs topping up please do so with the books that are on the trolley near Tiff’s desk.
We have also dispersed many books through our collection which are for the customers to take home and keep (not bring back).  These will have a Library Lover’s bookmark in them which will explain this.Sally

packing SAPLN crates

We are now packing the AV crates with all the cases spine down. This way there is less movement of individual items during transit and there is a clear visual that no (security) tags are in cases.

students with overdues

A reminder for the procedure at the start of the year in regard to loaning to students who have ‘Lost’ items on their card  – we do not process any further loans for the first two weeks of term until all outstanding items have been returned, this is endorsed by Cez our school principal and it has proven to be a successful way of retrieving outstanding items.  Please discuss with Karla if you feel there any special circumstances.
