recycling

Be aware that new recycling bins have been installed in the office area. The RED desk top bins are for personal waste (that goes to land fill). Things such as soft plastics, tissues, post-it notes and alkaline batteries would be disposed of here.
The recyclables go into the bins under the desks and are split in to recyclables (cardboard, glass, tins, etc) BLUE BIN and white paper (White paper/card, white envelopes, etc) GREY BIN. Please assist us in improving our recycling!

WiFi sign-ups

I have found a number of records on WiFi for local users with user names written as their name ie. johnsmith
Remember unless WiFi users are travellers and show ID (passport etc.) that proves that they are not local, you must have a username X0123456789. Refer to the procedures please WiFi users must be public library members unless visiting from another state or country.
One user who was signed up in the last couple of days has LOST charges and has been sent to debt collection.

transferred phone calls

As you’d know we often get phone calls transferred from other branches just to book a computer at Seaford. Instead of transferring the call to Noarlunga to book a Noarlunga PC, for example, I have placed the quick link to the PC Res web module on the front page of Only2Clicks, so that you can just book it for them instead of transferring the call. Its really straight forward and easy to use but not something many of us have used before, so I thought I’d remind you about it and make it quick and easy to access. Karla

new emergency phone

There is a new emergency phone located next to the display laptop in the work room. This phone is for use in emergency situations where the phone system is not working (eg electrical black-out) - no make and receive calls.
